Exploring First Nations’ and cultural safety content of Pharmacy curricula with academics in Australia

The aim of this study was to explore academics’ views on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health and Cultural Safety content in pharmacy school curricula to inform recommendations for future curricula.
Alex Burke’s study explores pharmacy heads of schools’ and academics’ views on how First Nation’s health topics are taught in Australian pharmacy schools. In total, he conducted 22 interviews. He uses the Principles from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Curriculum Framework as a benchmark to inform future curriculum design and resources.
