We are building a resource hub that will assist you in embedding Indigenous knowledges, expertise and ‘ways of being’ into western style pharmacy education.

Over time we will add to this to include research, guides, frameworks, publications and policies on cultural safety in health education and practice.

Every now and then we’ll call for contributions to add to the body of research.

The Australian Pharmacy Council examined health professional education programs and curricula in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. We use this literature review to identify approaches to embedding cultural safety into pharmacy education in Australia.

Publication: UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) is an international instrument, adopted by the United Nations. It details the individual and collective rights of Indigenous Peoples globally, constituting the minimum standards for their survival, dignity and well-being. It details their cultural rights, identity, and rights to health, education, and protection of language, traditional land and resources (United Nations, 2008).
